Maniben makes an entry on SAB TV

Smriti Irani (Tulsi Virani) is now seen on SAB TV in a new comical role. Maniben.com is here to entertain you. Maniben.com is based on Imtiaz Patel’s Very popular Gujrati play of the same name. She plays a middle class woman and the story is all about her interaction and experiences with the high society of the magical city of Mumbai. When asked about her character in the television serial she says “Maniben cannot be compared to Tulsi. She is more of a common woman - very straightforward and blunt - and that is what the show is all about," said the actress who won best TV actress awards five times in succession”. After more than 8 years and over 1800 episodes with “Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi” now Smriti Irani moves on to an all new field of comedy. From melodrama to comedy is surely a bi jump, however, will Tulsi Virani be able to get out of the skin of the all too perfect bahu and take on the light hearted role of Maniben. A few weeks more and we can take a call on whether Smriti can handle comedy or she turns out to be the preaching saas and the oh so ideal bahu on the comedy show too.
