Abhishek to step into daddy’s shoes

There were many reports in the media suggesting that Karan Johar is planning to remake his father’s film “Agneepath” and this time with Hrithik Roshan playing the lead. The film which starred Senior Bachan as Vijay Dinanath Chauhan was well received by the public in the 90s and had some fantastic dialogues that only Amitabh could do justice too. K Jo had approached Hrithik with the idea but Hrithik is very busy with his other commitments. He is soon going to start shooting Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s “Guzaarish”. Hrithik refused the film and Karan approached Abhishek and he jumped at the idea of donning his father’s shoes. Abhishek when asked in interviews to name his favourite film has always talked about “Agneepath”. Abhishek is thrilled to bits with this offer and sources reveal that “Abhishek has always said that “Agneepath” is his favourite film in many an interview. Naturally, he was overjoyed when Karan asked him to play the role which his father originally played. It has always been Abhishek’s dream to do one what his father has done in his career, and he sees Agneepath as the perfect opportunity.” Roshan junior had to refuse the film and Hrithik’s loss has turned out to be Abhishek’s gain. There are going to be lot of comparisons between father and son and let us see if AB’s baby can match up.
